A well-known international company Trina Solar has declared its intention to add 200 megawatts (MW) of solar power to the nation’s electrical system. The effort represents a major advancement in Pakistan’s search for sustainable energy solutions and is expected to be realised through the provision of state-of-the-art Vertex N modules.
With the ultimate goal of giving consumers access to affordable and sustainable electricity, the top Chinese company is working with prominent Pakistani companies in this area and has inked a number of strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to increase the share of solar energy generation. This is because the country’s highest power tariffs are actually caused by the tiny two percent share of solar energy that currently exists compared to the massive and costly 63 percent thermal production segment.
At the moment, Pakistan’s energy prices are among the highest in the area because the country primarily relies on the expensive thermal power produced from oil. By promoting solar energy solutions and lowering Pakistan’s reliance on expensive electricity generation in favour of low-cost renewable energy, Trina Solar will collaborate with local businesses to increase the share of energy mix in power generation.

In line with a press statement, Trina Solar has inked contracts with prominent solar importers in Pakistan, such as Zi Solar, Mesol, and Diwan International. Mesol shares Trina Solar’s focus on renewable energy by concentrating on the commercial and industrial markets. Trina Solar will provide 200MW of Vertex N modules for a variety of uses under the terms of the MoU, while Diwan International wants to improve its capabilities with 200MW of Vertex N modules. Corresponding to this, Trina Solar and Zi Solar work together to supply 120MW of Vertex N modules, which allows Zi Solar to offer cutting-edge solar solutions to its clients.
By bringing its industry-breaking solar modules to Pakistan, Trina Solar—the pioneer in smart photovoltaic and energy storage solutions worldwide—has further demonstrated its steadfast commitment to the country’s market. The company has executed several key Memorandums of Understanding with prominent local distributors, demonstrating its commitment to offering Pakistan state-of-the-art solar solutions, in a calculated attempt to support the country’s solar industry.
The Chinese company, well-known for its technological prowess and innovation, is pleased to introduce its Vertex N modules, which are outfitted with cutting-edge features like larger-size, 210mm solar cells paired with the industry’s best n-type i-TOPCon cell technology. The company understands how important it is to support Pakistan’s transition to renewable energy.
We are happy to collaborate with significant stakeholders in Pakistan’s solar industry, proving our commitment to supporting sustainable energy solutions in the region. According to Dave Wang, Subregional Head of Asia Pacific at Trina Solar.
