As Pakistan’s first production to surpass PKR150 crore, The Legend of Maula Jatt’s winning run continues! More than PKR 150 crore have been made at the Pakistani and foreign box offices in just 20 days of release thanks to the film’s director, Bilal Lashari.

The announcement was made on the film’s official Twitter account. “Taking the worldwide box office by storm, The Legend of Maula Jatt sets a new record for the Pakistani cinema with 150 Crore!” a tweet read.?

The Legend of Maula Jatt has succeeded in unseating popular Indian movies at the UK box office in less than 20 days since its premiere. Previously, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra was edging over Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan’s epic at the UK box office.

The Ayan Mukerji directed film has since been surpassed by the Ammara Hikmat production. The movie has made £1.045 million at the box office, while Brahmastra has made £1.036 million. The movie from Lashari can’t be stopped.

Previously, the filmmaker had penned a note on the day of his much-anticipated venture’s release. “An impossible dream, that is who you were a decade ago,” the 38-year-old director shared on his Instagram story ahead of the star-studded premiere of his reinvention of the 1979 classic. “Today, you are real, no more a figment of my imagination or a project of a dreamer. What a journey it has been!”

Lashari concluded, “Tonight, it’s finally time for me to let you go. And you have to let me go to go dream again an untold story of another realm.”

Moreover, the film’s producers revealed earlier this week that it had surpassed $100 million worldwide. Lashari, the film’s producer Ammara Hikmat, and its impressive ensemble thanked the audience for helping to make the 1979’s remake on run Pakistan’s all-time highest-grossing movie.
