The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has rolled out daring and bold plans to accelerate the process of the development of 8 residential sectors in the city of Islamabad. This plan is intended to meet the increasing housing demand in the capital. The goal is to ensure the timely delivery of developed plots to grantees paving paths for smoother residential expansions and urban growth.
One of the key sectors under focus is Sector C-14, which is expected to generate over Rs12 billion through the auction of more than 200 one-kanal plots. The CDA is working to ensure that these plots are handed over to the owners once the final installment is paid. Currently, 85% of the road infrastructure in the sector has been completed, and 35% of the drainage and sewerage systems are in place, marking significant progress in the area’s development.
A recent meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa reviewed the progress across various sectors, including C-14, I-12, and E-12. Sector I-12 is nearing completion, with 78% of the work already finished, and authorities are optimistic about meeting the project’s deadlines. Similarly, Sectors E-12/2 and E-12/1 have made considerable strides, though some issues surrounding Built-Up Property (BUP) remain a point of discussion.
The Chairman urged officials from the Engineering and State Wings of the CDA to address any ongoing development hurdles in Sectors C-15, C-16, C-13, D-13, E-13, and F-13. In order to ensure the swift progress of these projects, Randhawa also pledged to personally visit these sites, promising hands-on involvement in resolving any complications. His proactive approach reflects the CDA’s commitment to overcoming challenges and achieving timely completion of the residential areas.

The plots in Sector C-14, priced at Rs60 million each, are being sold on a flexible nine-month installment plan, making them more accessible to potential homeowners. This scheme is expected to not only meet the housing needs of Islamabad’s growing population but also provide a significant boost to the CDA’s revenue. By expediting these developments, the CDA is working to address the increasing demand for residential areas while simultaneously contributing to the city’s urban expansion.
Through these efforts, the CDA aims to create a more organized, well-developed urban environment in Islamabad, offering better housing solutions and improving infrastructure for residents. The acceleration of these eight sectors marks a major step in Islamabad’s growth as a modern metropolis.
