Two new HS Crossover SUV models are expected to be released by MG Pakistan. Excite and 2.0 AWD will be the models, all in an effort to increase its market share in comparison to rivals.
MG revealed this information last week when hosting a press tour. Additionally, MG has its sights set on the sedan market, which commands a 45% market share, as part of its expansion strategy.
Asif Ahmed, the general manager of the marketing division, expressed excitement about the sedan market’s potential and said that their first sedan product might be the MG GT.
The information indicates that in the previous 2.5 years, the company sold 15,000 MG HS units. According to Asif, MG Motors is still optimistic about Pakistan’s potential as an automotive market despite the current status of the economy.
He mentioned how the auto sector has consistently displayed “V-type recovery in the past” and predicted a good and flourishing market in the near future.
The production facility at MG has expanded significantly in the past 12 months. According to Asif, the company’s investment of $100 million reinforces its commitment to the Pakistani market.
The current yearly production capacity of the MG facility is 25,000 automobiles. However, the monthly output has been capped at 400 cars because of the current economic difficulties.
The specifics, including the features and costs, of the introduction of new variations are not yet known. But after they arrive, HS will probably start to pose an even bigger threat to other compact crossover SUVs
