The Punjab government has budgeted Rs8 billion for Murree’s six main roads and has begun construction.
According to a senior district administration official, the project will improve movement for residents and visitors to the hill station. The following roads would be rebuilt:

- Kalar Dhan Gali Road, Rs1.51 billion

- Rawalpindi-Kahuta Jeora Road, Rs1.11 billion

- Jeora-Panjar to Panjaar-Nar Road, Rs1.63 billion

- Rawalpindi-Lehtrar Kotli Sattian Road, Rs1.23 billion

- Chirah Chowk-Taban via Karor Road, Rs1.9 billion

- Murree Expressway, Bostal Mor, Lawrance College, Bansra Gali, and Gali Barian, Rs1.2 billion
Talking to the media, PTI leader and MNA Sadaqat Abbasi said that the provincial government had begun reconstructing roads in Murree and surrounding areas.
He stated that residents requested that the government improve the roads.
He stated that the provincial government provided the funds and requested that the district administration ensure quality work.
“We were planning to establish a new development authority for the Murree hill station, and all housing societies and other work would be shifted to it,” MNA added that legislation would soon be made in the Punjab assembly.
