Imran Khan Admits Visiting Russia During Ukraine War Was ‘Mistake’

Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a former prime minister, termed his trip to Russia during the war on Ukraine a “mistake” in an interview with the Financial Times. He also said that the Pakistan Army could be useful in his future plans. 


Imran Khan, a former prime minister, claimed earlier this year that he visited Russia only after discussing with all relevant parties. 


Imran Khan, the PTI?chairman, made the announcement in a social media interview. 


He had stated, “Neutrals had advised me that the moment was right to visit Russia. I didn’t know Russia would invade Ukraine. Russia and the West are viewed from several angles. 


“We require Russia to provide us with affordable gas, oil, wheat, and military equipment. The conspiracy will ruin the economy, I had warned the neutrals. 


According to the Imran?Khan, he visited Russia against American opposition and resisted giving the US military bases. 


Imran Defends Kremlin Visit On Same Day Russia Invaded Ukraine 


Previously, Imran Khan?has already stated he was unaware of Russia’s impending invasion of Ukraine on the day he met Vladimir Putin in Moscow. And he defended his visit to the Russia. 


Imran, who was overthrown by opposition parties in April, said in an interview with Sky News that he had received harsh criticism for seeing the president of Russia in person and shaking his hand just hours after the conflict in Ukraine broke out.
