Deputy Commissioner Sardar Mohammad Asif of Islamabad has taken significant steps to rectify unauthorized constructions and promote fairness in property allocation within Sector C-13. Highlighting the commitment to transparency and fairness in the property allocation process.

A committee, led by Deputy Commissioner Sardar Mohammad Asif, was formed for the purpose of property awards in Sector C-13.

The committee included Assistant Commissioner Sadar Second Tehsil Saniya Hamid Pasha and HVC Naseer Olakh from the district administration. Their collective efforts were geared towards establishing a clear and impartial process for property awards.

Recent activities in Sector C-13, particularly in Shah Allah Ditta, brought to light unauthorized constructions. This prompted a thorough review of the situation, resulting in the creation of a list of presumed affected individuals, initially totaling 2,800 names.

However, further investigations revealed that many of these names were fraudulent and unauthorized. Of the initial 759 illegal structures mentioned, only 112 were found to be compliant with legal specifications. It was discovered that individuals who were not genuinely impacted by the situation had been included in the list of affected parties, including those whose properties were taken due to encroachments.

Under the guidance of the Capital Development Authority’s member estate, DC Sardar Mohammad Asif implemented stringent criteria to ensure that only genuinely affected properties received the property built-up award. Following this rigorous assessment, 328 individuals qualified for ‘A’ category plots, 108 for ‘B’ category, and 186 for ‘C’ category in Sector C-13.

In total, a comprehensive review of documents identified 644 individuals as rightful recipients of the award, while 2,156 names were excluded due to their fraudulent claims. According to a CDA spokesperson, this thorough process underscores their commitment to transparently award properties while addressing encroachments and unauthorized constructions in Sector C-13, ultimately ensuring a fair and just outcome for all stakeholders involved.
