Bilawal Bhutto Inaugurated ‘Digital Tourism Corner’ In Germany To Promote Pakistan’s Tourism

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated that Pakistan and Germany agreed to further strengthen their bilateral relationships to increase cooperation in various sectors. 


While speaking to the media in Berlin, Bilawal Bhutto said in a talk with his German counterpart, cooperation in eco-friendly energy projects and matters of economic cooperation were deliberated. 


Foreign Minister Mr Bilawal Bhutto was on a two-day visit to Germany ending on Friday. He expressed gratitude for additional 10 million euros in support for the flood-hit people of Pakistan, which has now reached cumulative assistance of 60million euros. 


He further visited Pakistan Embassy in Berlin and inaugurated a ‘Digital Tourism Corner’ to encourage Pakistan’s tourism potential. 


It is to be mentioned that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left for a three-day official visit to Germany at the invitation of his German counterpart. 


As per the reports, Bilawal will have meetings with Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and other dignitaries besides interacting with the media. 


“The focus of the visit would be on further deepening Pakistan’s economic engagement with Germany, a key export destination for Pakistan, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation,” the Bilawal Bhutto statement said. 


“The foreign minister’s visit will provide further impetus to our relations with Germany,” the statement from the Foreign Minister added. 


Moreover, Bilawal stated that Pakistan had less than 1 percent of the global carbon footprint but the country was among the top climate-hit countries in the world. “I want to get justice for my people,” he added, flanked by Foreign Minister Baerbock. 


FM further said that the World Health Organisation (WHO) had already cautioned about a second catastrophe following the floods in the shape of diseases, “we have concerns about food security, while economic consequences of this tragedy will continue to get worse if we are unable to address it”. 


The minister maintained that Germany was the main engine of Europe’s economy and politics, “so our bilateral relations assume crucial significance”, adding ” We seek enduring solutions for global peace and security. Decades of goodwill and cooperation must be translated into deeper collaboration.”
