Australia has declared a new scholarship program intended to support Pakistani students in pursuing higher education, highly focusing on dedication to education and skills development in Pakistan. This initiative unveiled by the Australian High Commissioner, Neil Hawkins, depicts the dedication of Australia to reinforcing educational ties and providing Pakistani youth with the best opportunities to study in Australia.  

In a recent meeting with Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, High Commissioner Hawkins commended the drive and capacity of Pakistani students, highlighting their remarkable contributions to their communities.  

The scholarships, he asserted, will emphasize creating skills that can support the developmental initiatives of Pakistan with a particular focus on sectors in demand all over both countries. The High Commissioner also showcased interest in expanding sports collaboration, specifically in hockey, a shared passion and drive between Pakistan and Australia. He highlighted the intention of Australia to partner with the Prime Minister’s Youth Program on strategic initiatives to improve skills in sports.

This could lead to increased exchange programs, giving young Pakistanis the chance to learn from and compete alongside Australian athletes.
