Attock Petroleum Limited (APL) is making a significant contribution to the promotion of electric vehicle (EV) usage in Pakistan. The company has declared its intention to expand the country’s EV charging station network. This expansion aligns with the government’s efforts to address climate change and transition to sustainable mobility.

APL has shown its commitment to electric car infrastructure with its most recent steps. At strategic locations, three 180KW rapid EV charging units have already been installed.

The company hopes to further expand this network across the nation in order to facilitate EV owners’ ability to charge their vehicles. Through the installation of more charging stations, APL is mitigating the effects of climate change and fostering cleaner air.

  • Expansion of EV Charging Network

Expanding their network of DC Fast Electric Vehicle Charging stations throughout motorway service zones is one of APL’s primary priorities. Travellers who are travelling long distances would especially benefit from this, as it offers them easy ways to recharge.

Additionally, APL has successfully installed and commissioned EV charging facilities at Islamabad Club, Garrison Filling Station, and Hassan Petroleum.

APL is looking into other environmentally friendly projects in addition to EV charging stations. At their retail locations and storage facilities, they intend to transition to on-grid solar systems. This will assist in lowering their carbon footprint and promoting the production of renewable energy.

To further improve the region’s access to liquefied petroleum gas, APL is building an LPG filling and storage facility in Rawalpindi.

One of the most important steps towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future in Pakistan is the expansion of the EV charging network. In order to lessen reliance on fossil fuels, it promotes the government’s goal of encouraging electric cars.

By making an investment in EV charging stations, Attock Petroleum is promoting the use of electric cars and making a positive environmental impact on everyone.

Compared to conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs) have many advantages. The following are some key benefits:

Advantages for the Environment:

  • No Emissions:

Because EVs have no tailpipe emissions, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are greatly reduced.

  • Greener Power:

EVs can almost completely eliminate emissions when they are charged using renewable energy sources like solar or wind.

  • Lower Fuel Costs:

Refuelling a petrol or diesel car is typically more expensive than charging an electric vehicle.

  • Reduced Maintenance:

Since EVs require fewer repairs and maintenance, they have fewer moving parts.

Switching to an electric vehicle can be a great way to save money and contribute to a cleaner environment.
