Chief Curator Sarfaraz Ahmad has provided insights into the planning for the four matches as anticipation for the white-ball events in Rawalpindi grows.
Addressing to the media, Sarfaraz disclosed that various pitches have been carefully chosen to present difficulties to both batters and bowlers while keeping viewers’ interests in mind.
Sarfraz Ahmad continued, “A bowler who bends his back and bowls with pace can still get something out of the wicket in Rawalpindi even when there is no grass on the pitch.
But, the curator stated that bowlers with the capacity to take wickets might still leave their mark despite the fact that fans will see batting-friendly grounds for the two T20Is in Pindi.
He illustrated this point by using the PSL pitch as an example, emphasising how it would encourage stroke play and lead to high-scoring games, much to the enjoyment of the spectators.
For the first two games of the ODI series, supporting tracks are being prepared, with the prospect of a thin layer of grass on the pitch, Ahmad continued.
