TEPA (Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency) has developed an eight-point plan to build three model highways in the provincial capital.

TEPA would construct Jail Road, Mall Road, and Ferozepur Road using a sample infrastructure and traffic design according to the plan. The plan will prioritise clearing encroachments, managing the tracks, marking zebra crossings with planes, repairing traffic lights, and enforcing penalties for illegal parking spots.

In addition, the plan calls for replacing damaged boards and road cracks, creating additional green areas along the roadside, repairing cat eyes and speed breakers, and widening roadways as needed. To carry out the eight-point plan, TEPA formed a committee led by Khak Antar Nima Salam.

It is worth noting that the three city streets chosen for long-term signal-free roadways are heavily used by commuters due to the presence of key government offices and civic services.

Moreover, he said that the LDA One Window, where the DG LDA kept him up to date on the improvements made to streamline the One Window procedures. The commissioner also listened to the people’s concerns and directed the authorities to address them as soon as possible.
