The Sindh Cabinet meeting at CM House, under the leadership of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, resolved to build 6500 dwelling units on 248 acres to resettle the affected people of three Nullahs in the Malir Development Authority area.
“Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has categorically directed the Sindh government to resettle the affected people of three main Nullahs – Gujjar, Mahmoodabad, and Orangi,” Murad Ali Shah said, adding that he has already allotted Rs1 billion for the development of 248 acres handed over to the local government by the MDA.

Meanwhile, Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Shah proposed two alternatives, stating that affected people of the three nullas could be provided properly developed 80-square-yard plots and significant funds to build their houses, or the local government department could build their houses.
Nasir Shah stated that the MDA had already turned over the land measuring 248 acres to the Local Government department?and that the sum of Rs1 billion was?granted by the CM?local government for development.?
He added?that his department was willing to develop the plots and either hand them back to the affected families or build the residences.
?The cabinet thoroughly studied the subject, and the majority of members were in favour of constructing 6500 dwelling units for impacted people, as directed by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
Moreover, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon stated that turning over the plots to the afflicted people would start real estate business activity in the districts, therefore the houses should be built by experienced and well-reputed
