The National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) has achieved a significant milestone by securing a project worth SR46.5 million ($12.5 million) for Saudi Arabia’s visionary NEOM project. A senior NESPAK representative has confirmed that work on this project will commence in the near future.
NEOM, located in northwestern Saudi Arabia, is an ambitious economic zone with a budget exceeding $500 billion. It is envisioned as a symbol of architectural innovation and global ambition. This project is a crucial element of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying the nation’s economy beyond oil.
NEOM will feature a zero-carbon city known as “The Line,” spanning over 170 km and accommodating a million residents in carbon-positive urban developments powered by 100 percent clean energy.
NESPAK signed an agreement to provide construction management services to NEOM two weeks ago. The project, with a budget of SR46.5 million ($12.5 million), is focused on NEOM’s energy sector and was granted by the Saudi Electric Company (SEC). NESPAK will oversee construction management services for various projects within NEOM Bay, NEOM Mountain, and NEOM Phase II, including Extra High Voltage (EHV), High Voltage (HV), and high-voltage direct current (HVDC) projects. Work on this project is set to commence soon, marking a significant achievement for the Pakistani company.
NESPAK’s success in securing this project underscores its technical excellence and commitment. It also represents a notable achievement for an Asian company in a region traditionally dominated by European and Western enterprises.
NEOM’s expansive plans encompass a wide range of areas, including a floating industrial complex, a global trade hub, luxurious tourist resorts, and an innovative linear city powered by sustainable renewable energy sources. NESPAK has a strong presence in the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Nigeria, Yemen, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
