CEO Mr Imran Amin at RUDA headquarters has?signed an MoU with SCO (Strategic Communications Organisation) to meet the communication and IOT-concerned?needs of its flagship residential project Chaharbagh smart city which will involve the?establishment of a?command and control centre, the laying of fibre optics,?and IOT solutions for urban excellence in the world of upcoming Chaharbagh smart city.
Mr Imran Amin on the occasion emphasised that all the activities being performed by RUDA are founded on the concepts of convergence of technology, sustainability, competitiveness,?and innovation, both in planning and implementation.
Addressing the occasion, Director General (DG) SCO Major General Muhammad Shahid stated: SCO feels privileged to avail itself an opportunity to serve the nation once again by offering its services to one of the most scientifically planned riverfront city in the world.
He also added, SCO after its coming into being as an organisation in 1976 had the honour to have provided all types of communication to the northern areas and Kashmir regions of Pakistan. Additionally, the first communication tower at the base camp of K2 was also installed by SCO, along with the laying of 820km long Pak-China fibre optic, which is already being quoted as the digital silk route.
Moreover, DG SCO referred to RUDA and SCO as “digital twins” on the path to technological excellence with a primary goal of serving the public. Later, CEO Mr Imran Amin praised Major General Muhammad Shahid for his technical assistance on several planned projects and for his deep interest in RUDA’s efforts for the betterment of the country’s people.
He also praised RUDA’s Land, Engineering, Commercial, and Information Technology departments for bringing the concept of Chaharbagh smart city to fruition in record time. RUDA pledged for providing 300 acres of property to a housing society that would be environmentally friendly and long-lasting.
