The construction of an underpass from Babu Sabu Interchange to Ring Road Gulshan Ravi T-Junction has been approved by Chief Minister Parvez Elahi.
He also agreed to provide the Ravi Urban Development Authority with a record of all housing schemes in the Ruda area. Similarly, he approved the transfer of records from pending and illegal housing schemes in the Ruda area to the authority.
The CM also approved projects on 152 kanals adjacent to the Ferozpur Road IT tower. A hospital will be built on 59 Kanals, an IT tower on 24 kanals, and four commercial buildings. The governing body of the LDA met, with the CM in the chair.
Moreover, the CM stated parking facilities should be included in new projects. It was agreed to establish a committee and sub-committee to handle LDA matters, and amendments to the LDA Land Use Regulation, 2020 and building and zoning regulations were also approved. Elahi stated that while passing the map, safety and security, as well as other rules and regulations, should be kept in mind.
He added that while passing the map of the apartments, the four walls and parking facility should also be marked. Before allowing the apartments, NOC from the neighbours will be required, and 50% green space on the roof will be required. Before allowing new schools, the CM directed that the parking area be identified.
The meeting further approved the construction and expansion of the Dubbanpura exit road, as well as the exchange policy for LDA Avenue I affectees.
The working paper for the allotment of plots in Mustafa Town in accordance with court orders was approved, as were the amendments to the LDA Properties’ Lease Regulation, 2019.
In addition, the lease of Fatima Memorial Hospital was extended, as was the construction and extension of the LDA City link road from Ferozepur Road to Kahna Kacha. The LDA City to Defence Road to Hudiara Drain Bridge link road was also approved for construction. Ferdowsi Street in Johar Town was also approved for repair.
