Hazim Bangwar, the ‘cool’ commissioner for North Nazimabad, is working on a one-of-a-kind project to convert unused government sites into recreational sports complexes in which people can participate in fun sporting activities.

Karachi has many flyovers and overhead bridges with unused or trash-filled spaces beneath them. Now, Hazim Bangwar wants to turn those empty lots into multi-functional sports complexes for residents, complete with a basketball court, cricket pitch, and badminton court.

Sources reported that the North Nazimabad AC concept was inspired by Administrator Murtaza Wahab’s initiative under Cantt Bridge. Hazim Bangwar took to Twitter to announce his latest initiative to the public.

He wrote on Twitter, ?“North Nazimabad you requested this? You’re getting this!”

He got the idea for the sports complex from an Indian concept. He posted a video of Indian residents?playing basketball beneath a flyover bridge. Administrator Murtaza Wahab implemented the idea in Pakistan, transforming the space into a colourful basketball court.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s popular singer and socialist, Shehzad Roy commented, “I was so happy to see this innovative idea in India, and I was wondering why we couldn’t have this in Karachi, given the number of overhead bridges we have.”

People are excited about Hazim’s desire to do the same for the people in his jurisdiction.

Hamza Bangwar exemplifies the old saying “don’t judge a book by its cover.” People are questioning the 29-year-old’s sexuality because of his daring and strange fashion and mannerism. Bangwar, on the other hand, is a highly competent individual with a remarkable academic record.

Bangwar graduated from AIU London with a first-year degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. He then went on to study law at a university in London.

Moreover, many people believe that the above-mentioned initiative will be extremely beneficial, as Karachi is in desperate need of more places where people can relax or pursue various hobbies.
