In a recent interview, Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s javelin throw sensation, uncovered that while he got some of the guaranteed prizes from government authorities, the prizes and rewards announced by private companies stayed unfulfilled. This includes announcements from organizations like WAPDA, which declared a reward of Rs 1 million, and LESCO, which considered promoting him.

Arshad Nadeem made history by getting the country’s very first individual gold medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024. He stunned the world with a record-breaking javelin by outperforming 90 meters, denoting the 6th longest throw internationally.

His remarkable achievement ignited widespread celebration, with the federal and provincial governments, as well as private associations, reporting monetary rewards and compensations to honor his feat.

The athlete tended to circulate rumors about his financial background, excusing reports of his alleged poverty as false. That’s what he explained: while he values the country’s support, he was not living in poverty.

This misrepresentation, he emphasized, reduces the genuine battles and achievements of athletes who work energetically to bring honor to their country.

Nadeem’s Olympic record-breaking throw not only earned him gold but also set a noteworthy achievement as the 6th longest throw in Olympic history. Following this amazing accomplishment, he was praised by various well-known individuals, including Pakistan’s PM Shehbaz Sharif. At this point, the full measure of rewards stays pending.

Arshad Nadeem was also commended by Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra, who also spoke highly of their friendship. In response to a question concerning Chopra, Arshad expressed that games instill virtues of fraternity and solidarity.

The two became friends in 2016 after they met at a contest where Neeraj brought home a gold medal and Arshad brought home a bronze. Moreover, Arshad unveiled that he wed in 2016 and felt that his journey to progress started after his marriage.

When asked about love, he entertainingly commented that if he had been caught up in a modern-day romance, he probably wouldn’t have achieved his current accomplishments. In answer to the question about politics, he explained that he had no intention of entering politics, saying that all his focus starts and finishes with javelin throwing.
