Pakistan’s National Health Services Ministry on Tuesday revealed that around 80 million Pakistanis are grappling with different mental health issues.

The report, submitted to Parliament, attributes these widespread mental health difficulties to factors like inflation, unemployment, and economic instability. All kinds of people are affected, but men are experiencing mental health issues at a higher rate than women. This crisis spans across various groups, including workers, businesspeople, and the jobless.

Rizwan Taj, the ministry’s focal person, remarked, “The current economic challenges are disrupting family systems, which thusly add to heightened anxiety and depression.”

Medical experts have also noticed that the continuous violence against Palestinians by Israel could be exacerbating mental health issues in Pakistan. They contend that economic variations and a weakening belief system are adding to the prevalence of mental health issues among ladies in the country.

Mostly people including both men and women are facing mental health challenges, but men are facing more mental diseases than ladies. Workers, businesspersons, and the unemployed all experience psychological problems or any kind of psychological challenges.
