Nha Gives Nod To Procurement Of Works Of Various Psdp Projects

The National Highway Authority (NHA) Executive Board has greenlit the procurement of several projects designated within the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2023-24, as reported on August 17. 

During the board meeting, chaired by NHA Chairman Captain (Retd) Muhammad Khurram Agha, official documents were reviewed. Subsequently, the NHA Executive Board granted approval for the procurement of specific projects, in accordance with PPRA Rule-42 (f). 


It was decided to conduct competitions among State-Owned Entities via limited direct tendering. The sanctioned projects include the construction of the Lahore-Sahiwal-Bahawalnagar Motorway project, an extension of the Karachi-Lahore Motorway (KLM) from its starting point to Saggian Road and Main Ravi Bridge, and the construction of the Lahore Bypass, connecting Kalashah Kaku Exit to KLM and Multan Road near Radio Station. 


Additionally, the board approved the construction of a dual carriageway linking the Islamabad-Lahore Motorway (M-2) at Neela Dullah to HaklaD.I Khan Motorway (M-14), specifically at Kharpa Pindi Gheb. Also sanctioned was a link road from Peshawar to Islamabad Motorway (M-1) leading to Margalla Avenue in the Islamabad Capital Territory. 


Further projects encompassed the dualization of the road from Faisalabad Bypass to Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M-3) via Satiana, the dualization and rehabilitation of the 104-kilometer-long Kuchlak-Chaman Section of the Karachi-Chaman National Highway (N-25), and the dualization of the 330-kilometer-long Khuzdar-Kuchlak Section of N-25. The Lowari tunnel’s electrical and mechanical works, along with bridges, were also given the green light.
