The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is embarking on a groundbreaking initiative through the launch of the Digital Islamabad Project, which aims to reshape the city’s administrative and technological landscape.

A significant move within this endeavor involves the appointment of Nauman Khalid, a seasoned Grade 19 officer, to head the forthcoming Technology and Digitization department at the CDA.

Drawing from his extensive experience as the former Director Technical at the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Nauman Khalid’s proficiency in technology and digitization is anticipated to play a pivotal role in the transformation of CDA’s operational framework and service delivery.

In his new role as Deputy Director Technical, Nauman Khalid will work closely with the CDA’s top leadership, collaboratively implementing cutting-edge solutions and driving innovation across the organization.

At the core of the Digital Islamabad Project lies the comprehensive digitization of all records and offices within the CDA. This transition towards a paperless system is expected to streamline processes, enhance accessibility, and ensure the security and precision of data.

A spokesperson from the CDA emphasized, “The establishment of the Technology and Digitization department at CDA signifies a significant stride in modernizing the city’s administration. With Nauman Khalid leading the effort, we are confident in harnessing technology to offer more efficient and citizen-centric services.”

The project’s scope also encompasses the integration of various ongoing and upcoming projects in Islamabad through cutting-edge technology, facilitating seamless coordination and optimizing outcomes. By embracing innovative digital solutions, the CDA aims to elevate operational efficiency and effectiveness while establishing new benchmarks in urban development.

As part of the benefits stemming from the Digital Islamabad Project, citizens can anticipate the introduction of online complaint services, enabling residents to conveniently voice their concerns and provide feedback.

Furthermore, the department will proactively monitor social media platforms to address issues promptly and keep the public informed about the CDA’s initiatives and progress.?
