Liaquat Ali Chattha, Rawalpindi Commissioner, declared that all halted projects in the district will be restarted soon, thus creating jobs in the city.
Concrete actions have been done to expedite commercial operations, and “no objection certificates will be issued in two weeks to stalled projects of petrol pumps, plazas, and housing societies,” Commissioner stated.
Furthermore, separate desks for the issue of NOCs will be set up in the Deputy Commissioner, Metropolitan, and Municipal Corporation offices. A control room was also established in the Commissioner’s office to expedite the granting of NOCs, he noted. The change is intended to maximise job chances.
Meanwhile, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, last week, chaired?a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office to discuss the status of the province’s road sector projects.
During the meeting, the CM emphasised the importance of completing all current road projects in Punjab on schedule in order to provide the?utmost convenience and comfort to the public.
He urged officials to prioritise the development of roads joining cities to highways and to ensure the prompt completion of link road construction and repair projects.
The CM also directed officials to prioritise road patchwork as well as the restoration and rebuilding of the road shoulder.
According to the report given to the Chief Minister, 1,819 building and repair projects are currently being completed across Punjab.
Moreover, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Noor ul Amin Mengal presided over a high-level meeting. According to sources, members of the board attended the meeting, when the formation of the Building and Housing Control Wing was approved.
With 50 teams of field workers comprising?one assistant director and two surveyors, the Building Housing Control Wing has been granted complete authority to prevent illegal projects and enforce building by-laws.
Sources reported that the board approved revisions to the ICT Building Control Bylaws Regulation 2002, as well as building bylaws for development on IJP and Murree Road.
