In a ceremony conducted on Tuesday at the Governor’s House, 19 top exporters were awarded the LCCI Export Trophy 2022 for their outstanding achievement.
Governor of Punjab Muhammad Balighur Rehman presented the winning exporters with trophies. President Kashif Anwar of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Senior Vice President Chaudhry Zafar Mahmood, Vice President Adnan Khalid Butt, members of the Executive Committee, and previous office holders were also present.
The ceremony’s keynote speaker, Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman, said that the Lahore Chamber supported commerce, industry, and the economy in letter and spirit. He asserted that the business sector was a crucial economic foundation and that no nation could advance without it. He said the government provided the business community and investors with the best possible facilities.
According to him, Pakistan’s economy has significantly improved as a result of the current administration’s persistent efforts and policies. He claimed that Pakistan was attracting a lot of attention from global investors due to strong economic statistics. He said the administration was working hard to boost the nation’s economy and advance commerce and industry.
The governor said that new courses had been launched in this area and that the government had partnered with institutions to make every effort to support the flood victims mentally.
He asked the prize winners to write up their complaints and send them to the federal authorities. According to LCCI President Kashif Anwar, local businesses should be supported in order to significantly increase the country’s exports.
“Our local industry is suffering numerous issues,” he added, adding that regulatory duties, custom duties, and additional customs duties on the parts, machinery, and raw materials imported by SMEs should be eliminated.
Along with CEO Six-B Food Industries Muhammad Tahir Anjum, the Governors Trophy was presented to 18 more company directors and CEOs.
