The Sindh Government has been engaged in conversations with the Chinese automotive giant Yutong to establish a joint-venture assembly plant in Karachi, as per Sharjeel Inam Memon, the Sindh Minister for Data, Transport, and Mass Transit. Speaking at the 18th Build Asia International Conference and Exhibition at the Expo Center, Memon stated that this task would set out important business opportunities for talented workers in the province.
In addition to the assembly plant, the Sindh government is also considering launching an electric vehicle (EV) cab scheme and the importation of 100 more buses to address the developing transportation needs of the province. The provincial government is putting forth impressive attempts to help economic activities in Sindh, especially with a huge scope development project in Karachi aimed at attracting foreign investors and abroad Pakistanis.
Karachi stays the best destination for doing business in Karachi, he commented. The provincial government is working as a team with the federal government to give an empowering business environment and foolproof security to foreign investors to reestablish their confidence in Pakistan, the senior minister said. Sharjeel said the provincial government is attempting to work with outsiders and local businessmen and urge them to effectively start economic activities, including trade fairs that draw in foreign delegates to the country.

The cooperation of foreign delegates in the presentation of construction and allied areas is a very positive sign, which is also lined up with the strategy of the provincial government to boost the confidence of foreign investors in Pakistan. Farhan Anis, VP of Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan said the construction area is seeing innovation and upgradation of technology at a quicker speed to work on standard of life and work.
