Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced yet another price increase for its automobiles, the third in a month.

Toyota IMC attributes the increase to the Pakistani Rupee’s (PKR) depreciation against the US dollar (USD). Because of the economic downturn, the company believes it is having difficulty sustaining its present prices.

Toyota IMC’s sales increased somewhat in January 2023, owing primarily to the surprise strong sales of the Toyota Hilux and Fortuner.

The business is clearly planning to expand its off-roader lineup in Pakistan by releasing additional Fortuner and Hilux models.

The two off-roaders were noticed by bystanders at PSO PUMP, Najmul Petroleum, Steel Township, NH 5, Bin Qasim Town, Karachi, Sindh, covered in the same camouflage skin as the Revo Rocco and Fortuner Legender test units.

While the specifics are being kept under wraps, analysts have revealed that the vehicles are Fortuner GR and Hilux GR Sport.

The corporation has yet to provide any official information about the launch. However, considering the current economic condition, the launch will most likely take place in late 2023 or early 2024.
