Though the massive reconstruction work at the Gaddafi Stadium will elevate the setting, the activity in and around the site has impacted the overall population, dealing with issues in commuting around the area.

People in general, who have been using the road for going from Ferozepur Road to the Liberty Market for quite a long time, are presently enduring the worst part of the refurbishment activity, which is happening nonstop.

As per the details given by the PCB on Wednesday, the uplift work will significantly build the seating capacity of the stadium from 21,500 to 34,000.

PCB Director Infrastructure Qazi Jawwad Ahmad has said that Gaddafi Stadium will be changed into a top-notch setting by December 31, flaunting exciting changes for improved fan insight during and past ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

He added that new imported seats, the newest high-resolution replay screens, and various redesigns will guarantee a premium match-day experience for Pakistan cricket fans.

“Floodlight pinnacles will flaunt the latest LED lights to improve the nature of live broadcasts, ensuring the best survey experience for fans globally,” he added. He said Gaddafi Stadium’s high-level floodlight towers, screens, and seats will be reused for different settings, increasing current standards for cricket scenes across the country.

The Director of Infrastructure said that work on the update and redesign of the Gaddafi Stadium is being undertaken nonstop. Qazi let the journalists know that under the leadership of PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, the PCB is confident of meeting with the 31 December deadline.
