The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved development projects worth PKR 57.6 billion.

The projects approved at the Planning & Development Board’s 29th meeting included the following:

The Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control, and Communication (PPIC3) Centre in Rawalpindi has been allocated PKR 24.646 billion (Revised)

PKR 16.53 billion has been set aside for the Umbrella PC-I/Cost Estimate for the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of 87 roads in Rajanpur, 97 roads in Taunsa, and 30 roads in D.G. Khan.

PKR 5.969 billion has been set aside for Sori Lund Hill Torrent management (Jamallar & Talli Branch)

PKR 4.815 billion has been set aside for Vidor Hill Torrent management (Suchani & Phullar Branch)

A total of PKR 2.88 billion has been approved for the construction of the Women’s University, Sialkot Building on an Acquired Piece of Land in Sialkot.

PKR 1.566 billion has been set aside for the construction of a 3-kilometer-long metalled road along the Motorway from Sheikhupura Interchange (M-2) to QAAP.

PKR 1.245 billion has been set aside for the construction of river training works to protect Link No. 1 in D.G. Khan.

In addition, the authority also approved four development projects worth PKR 17 billion a couple of weeks ago.

The projects were approved at the Planning and Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal’s 26th meeting of the PDWP. Project Concept-1 (PC-1) orders were approved for the following projects:

PKR 70.101 million for the feasibility study of ‘Smart City Lahore Phase-I’ (PC-II)

an amount of PKR 4.604 billion has been set aside for the establishment of Mir Chakar Khan Rind University of Technology, Lahore

A total of PKR 5.697 billion has been approved for the expansion of the Punjab Tianjin University of Technology in Lahore.

ABAD has approved PKR 825 million for integrated farm development in the Punjab Barani Tract.
