Under the annual development project (ADP) program, the provincial government approved the construction of a 30-kilometer road connecting Chowk Sarwar Shaheed with Rangpur.

Speaking to the media, Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Zaheer Abbas Khan claimed that the 30 km route between Chowk Sarwar Shaheed and Rangpur was to blame for the fatal traffic accidents.

He claimed that to make life easier for the populace, he had asked Punjab’s Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, to build the road.

According to Khan, the provincial government approved the project as part of the Annual Development Project (ADP) for the current fiscal year. It was instructed to begin building as soon as possible.

Zaheer noted that the government had also given the project funding for Rs. 1.39 billion. He claimed that the project had received bidders and that more than Rs 230 million had been made available in funding.

He claimed that the provincial government worked hard to improve public life by giving residents the most amenities possible.

Despite requests from the opposition for a quorum in the house, the Punjab Assembly this week reapproved five proposals that the provincial governor had rejected.

The Question Hour on the labor and human resources department was suspended by a senior member of the panel led by chairman Mian Shafi Muhammad, who oversaw the siting, and the Treasury was allowed to move the legislation.

These were the Punjab Local Government Bill 2021, the Punjab Ehsaas Bill 2022, the Urdu Language Bill 2022, the Multan University of Science and Technology Bill 2022, and the Sahara University Bill 2022.

These measures had already been approved by the Assembly and forwarded to the governor for his approval; nevertheless, the government did agree to the bills, according to the provincial minister for parliamentary affairs in Punjab, Muhammad Raja Basharat, who addressed the House.

The Punjab Industries Control on Establishment and Enlargement Bill 2022 was previously introduced by the provincial minister for legislative affairs, Muhammad Raja Basharat, and was overwhelmingly passed by the house.
