Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced that advanced Player Tracking Technology will be used for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10.
This system will track fielders, bowlers, and batters frame-by-frame, delivering a flood of data in real time and keep a ball-by-ball record of various aspects of play.
“The players’ movements, including fielders’ coordinates, bowler run-ups, and batting stances on the field, will be tracked frame-by-frame on each delivery,” the PCB said in a statement.
The main features of the Player Tracking Technology include zone-based performance analysis for the fielders, scoring-zone integration for the batters, ball-catching analysis on caught dismissals, and a breakdown of field placements.
Moreover, for the first time in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) history, fans will be able to enjoy full-match Urdu commentary throughout the event.

The HBL PSL X is ready to take place in four cities—Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi—from 11 April to 18 May.
Fans can now tune out to tune into stay broadcasts in Urdu, allowing them to enjoy the movement and excitement of the league fits in Pakistan’s national language. This step is set to deepen engagement with millions of cricket enthusiasts and enhance their experience.
HBL PSL chief executive officer Salman Naseer:

“The creation of the separate Urdu commentary feed is something that has been eagerly predicted, and we are excited to deliver it. This move not only strengthens our connection with the community but also ensures that the excitement of HBL PSL is extra accessible to a wider audience.”
The published information, such as commentary panels for each English and Urdu, will be shared in due course.
