Pakistani mountain climber Asad Ali Memon has effectively scaled Mount Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica. The peak, remaining at 4,892 meters, is renowned for being the coldest in the world.
Memon, who is on a journey to summit the highest mountains across each of the seven continents, has now conquered six of these peaks. His most recent accomplishment adds to his amazing mountaineering record.
“From Karachi to Antarctica, this leg of the journey ends here,” Memon said in a message on his social media accounts, communicating the significance of his achievement.
“Battling sub-zero temperatures, relentless winds, and extreme isolation throughout the past two weeks tried each ounce of my strength. But nothing is impossible when powered by purpose, discipline, and the will to push beyond limits,” he said.

Memon, 26, has now summited six of the Seven Summits—the highest mountains on every continent—following the Messner version of the challenge. His past climbs incorporate Mount Everest (Asia), Mount Elbrus (Europe), Mount Aconcagua (South America), Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa), and Mount Denali (North America). Each summit has been a test of endurance, discipline, and resilience, with Memon beating the harshest conditions as well as the odds of coming from Larkana, a city in Pakistan’s Sindh province known for its flat terrain and scorching heat.
Mount Vinson’s outrageous conditions presented their own unique set of difficulties. The temperatures can fall to -40°C, and the relentless winds and isolation push Memon to his limits. Yet, he stays enduring in his resolve, focused on his definitive objective—overcoming Puncak Jaya in Papua New Guinea, the last top in his Seven Summits journey.
“This victory isn’t just mine—it has a place with each dreamer out there,” Memon expressed, considering his journey. “To the individuals who pick difficulty over luxury, discipline over comfort, and resilience over giving up. Continue to chase your dreams, regardless of how impossible they seem.”
With his latest victory, Memon’s extraordinary expedition not only adds one more part to his amazing mountaineering record but additionally fills in as a motivation to the people who dare to dream big and pursue greatness against all odds.
