Najam Sethi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), asserted that the Indian Premier League (IPL) was out-watched at the same stage of the two franchise tournaments by the Pakistan Super League (PSL) during the just finished season of the PSL.

More than 150 million people watched PSL on various digital platforms, according to Najam Sethi, who was discussing the performance of the league. This is a significant accomplishment for the league.

The PCB Chairman further stated that the eighth season of the PSL outperformed last year’s record of more than 130 million viewers of the lucrative Indian Premier League on digital platforms.

“I questioned you about our online rating. The TV rating for Najam Sethi’s programme used to be 0.5, but PSL is currently receiving a rating of over 11. It might thus be 18 or 20 when it is finished, said Sethi.

By fostering job possibilities, increasing tourism, and bolstering the hotel, airline, and travel industries, PSL, according to Najam, also makes a substantial economic contribution to the nation.

We have paid the federal government Rs. 700 million in taxes, Rs. 500 million in sales taxes, and another Rs. 500 million in provincial taxes, according to Najam Sethi.

Lahore Qalandars successfully defended their title as PSL champions on Saturday after defeating Multan Sultans in a nail-biting finale at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This was the eighth season of the league.
