On February 13, Shahnawaz Dahani suffered an index finger injury while playing for the Lahore Qalanders.

Due to a finger injury sustained during Multan Sultans’ opening game against Lahore Qalandars on February 13, fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has been ruled out of the Pakistan Super League (PSLremaining )’s matches.

Multan Sultans replaced him with Muhammad Ilyas, a young fast bowler.

A franchise official revealed that Dahani was hit on the finger during their encounter versus Lahore.

The right-arm bowler is a regular in the Multan Sultans lineup, having collected 55 wickets in 41 T20 matches during his career.

The Sultans were expected to replace the pacer with West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, according to reports.

The franchise, though, has favoured the local pacer over the WI all-rounder.

Ilyas has already appeared in five seasons with the franchise. In 51 T20 games, the 24-year-old fast bowler has 58 wickets.

The Sultans, led by Mohammad Rizwan, had lost by one run in the tournament’s first game on February 13 in Multan.

Their next game will be against the Quetta Gladiators on Wednesday (February 15) in Multan.
