After 1.5 years of its global debut, the 4th generation Kia Carnival Facelift has officially arrived in Pakistan. This exceptionally expected model, first presented universally in mid-2023, has entered the local market as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

Priced at PKR 17,000,000 (ex-factory), the Carnival maintains its 11-seat format, allowing it to qualify as a commercial vehicle. This classification empowers the model to profit from reduced custom duties, making it a more tax-effective decision for purchasers.

The 3.5-liter V6 engine with 272 horsepower and 331 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automated gearbox, is also used in the redesigned Carnival.

The car has a number of cutting-edge convenience and safety features. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include lane-keeping assistance, forward collision avoidance assist, and blind-spot collision avoidance help, are some of its highlights.

There aren’t any significant changes inside; the centre console, dashboard, and AC grills have all been redesigned. This is primarily a design update; we’re still awaiting word from Kia officials on the new add-ons list. We’ll provide the specifications and feature blog as soon as we have information from Kia officials.

Engine and Performance

In the engine, the facelifted Kia Carnival Facelift Pakistan is controlled by a similar robust 3.5-liter V6 motor, delivering a noteworthy 272 pull and 331 Nm of force. An 8-speed automatic transmission powers the vehicle and guarantees a smooth and powerful driving experience. The high-level drivetrain upholds its dual role as a family and commercial vehicle, catering to a diverse range of clients.

Design

The vehicle uses a suite of advanced safety and comfort features. Among its features are the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which incorporate forward collision aversion help, lane-keeping help, and blind-spot collision avoidance help.

Inside, there’s no major change; simply the design of the AC grills, dashboard, and center console got another look. It’s generally a design overhaul, and we don’t have the new additional items list at this moment, waiting for the details from Kia’s true.

Bookings and Tax Details

Bookings for the Carnival Executive are currently open at Kia showrooms across the country. The beginning cost of this vehicle is around 1.75 crore, which is an introductory price that might go up after some time.

Luckily enough, the Carnival is one of the most tax-efficient CBU vehicles you can purchase in Pakistan. Kia is smart; they’ve put the Carnival under the commercial transport vehicle class, so it gets just 12% expense on the invoice cost for filers, and for non-filers, it’ll be 36%.

Seems like they took advantage of passenger capacity in FBR’s approach, which is any vehicle that contains more than 10 travelers limits and is a combustion vehicle can fall under the classification of a business vehicle, and subsequently Carnival is one of the lowest taxed cars in the brand new market.
