Khyber Pakhtunkhwa launches digital training with Google scholarships

Under the direction of the Chief Minister, Mr. Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has unveiled various noteworthy drives that address a huge move toward creating a digitally empowered and monetarily resilient Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

These initiatives plan to help boost skills, encourage enterprising development, and set out job opportunities across the province. 

KP Digital Internship Program 

The new digital internship program offers 200 internship positions for new graduates. These internships are situated in IT organizations in Peshawar, Abbottabad, and different regions to further develop job readiness in the tech business. 

Another online platform Join IT has been acquainted with associating skilled professionals with IT organizations looking for technical skills. The portal will work with job placement by adjusting local talent to industry necessities. 

Google Partnership for Digital Skills 

In a joint venture with Google and Tech Valley, the KPIT division is offering scholarships to 5,000 young people from the northwestern region of the country.

These scholarships will empower recipients to get affirmation in high-demand digital abilities, overcoming any gap between traditional training and current job market needs. 

Chief Minister Gandapur invited the 2024 startup cohort to KPITB’s flagship business-hatching center, Durshal. This group of 20 new companies, addressing areas like Swabi, Peshawar, Mardan, and Smack, proceeds with Durshal’s practice of advancing business. Until this point, Durshal has upheld 173 new businesses, made over 1,600 positions and produced incomes of PKR 751 million. 

Another batch of fellows has joined the Government Innovation Fellowship Program. These fellows will team up with government divisions to foster digital arrangements pointed toward tending to difficulties and further developing public sector performance. 

Support for Startups and Advancement 

The Chief Minister also declared the enlistment of the 2024 startup associate at Durshal, KPITB’s premier business incubation focus. This new group of 20 new companies, hailing from different regions, reflects the continuous commitment to nurturing enterprising endeavors. Since its establishment, Durshal has effectively upheld 173 new businesses, creating more than 1,600 jobs and a huge income. 

Driving Public Sector Innovation 

The Government Innovation Fellowship Program has also invited new fellows. These people will team up with government departments to address difficulties and foster innovative digital solutions, further improving public area efficiency. 

Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur emphasized the significance of these drives, stating, “Our goal is to change Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into a main focus of digital excellence. We are committed to giving our youth the skills they need while cultivating an environment that upholds development and entrepreneurship.” 

By focusing on digital abilities improvement and job creation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is taking decisive steps towards an additional prosperous and technologically progressed future.
