The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is set to thrill the crowd with a spectacular air show at the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The ceremony, planned to happen on February 19, will feature a display of aerobatic maneuvers by PAF jets, including the JF-17 Thunder, F-16, and Sher Dil.
The air show will be a feature of the initial function, with the PAF fighter jets performing flybys. The jet will also perform different stunts and maneuvers. Practices for the air show are in progress, with aircraft flying over the National Stadium in Karachi.
Pakistan is set to have the ICC Champions Prize, with eight of the world’s top cricket teams partaking in the competition, planned to start on February 19.
The event will feature 15 matches, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in the opening match in Karachi. The final is planned for March 9. The tournament will incorporate the main eight men’s groups: Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the opening ceremony of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 will occur at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
The tournament will see eight teams play a total of 15 matches across 19 days. Pakistan will start their campaign with the tournament opener against New Zealand in Karachi on February 19.

They will then face India in the highly anticipated PAK versus IND match at the Dubai Cricket Stadium on February 23.
Pakistan will play their third and final match in Rawalpindi against Bangladesh on February 27.
Prize Money
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has reported the prize money for the Champions Trophy 2025, set to start in Pakistan on February 19.
The winning group of the eight-team tournament will bring back home the grand prize of a whopping $2.24 million, the ICC said in a statement on Friday.
“The other participants will get $1.12 million, while each losing semi-finalist will bring back home $560,000. The total prize pool has expanded by an amazing 53 percent from the 2017 edition, coming to $6.9 million,” according to the ICC.
Groups will get $34,000 for each victory in the Champions Trophy 2025 group stage game.
The ICC will hand $350,000 each to groups completing in fifth or sixth place in the competition, while the seventh and eighth-place sides will bring back home $140,000. Further, all teams taking part will get $125,000 each for taking part in the event.
