Hyundai to introduce 8th generation Sonata facelift in Pakistan

Hyundai Nishat Motors has announced plans to present the facelifted 8th-generation Sonata in Pakistan, making interest among auto lovers. 

This time, the update came from a Korean vehicle brand working in Pakistan. Hyundai Nishat Motors has created a buzz among Sonata lovers by hinting at the impending launch of the facelifted 8th-generation model of the vehicle on its social media platforms. 

Hyundai Nishat launched the 8th generation Sonata in Pakistan on July 5, 2021, and just after around 3.5 years, the organization is outfitting to bring the facelift model of the D-segment beauty on wheels. This facelift model arrived in the international market in March 2023. 

The organization has not shared the details of what the facelifted Sonata arriving in Pakistan will boast. Meanwhile, settle for international features and specifications, to some degree enough to get a brief look at what’s in store. 

The facelifted Sonata includes another front-end design with a more extensive grille, a flat design, and updated lighting components. Inside, it offers a curved display combining driver data and infotainment systems, a shift-by-wire controller, and different features pointed toward upgrading comfort and functionality.

Globally, the model is available in standard and hybrid variations, with motor choices including a 2.0-liter hybrid framework, a 1.6-liter turbocharged motor, and a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated motor. These are matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission. 

The hybrid variation uses a 2.0-liter Smart stream GDi HEV motor, conveying a greatest power output of 152 PS and a peak torque of 188 Nm. 

Beyond the hybrid choice, the Sonata is also available with a 1.6-liter turbocharged motor, including direct fuel injection (T-GDI), and a 2.5-liter normally aspirated unit. Both motors are matched with an 8-speed conventional manual transmission. 

Hyundai has not given a timeline for the launch or indicated how the Pakistani version could vary from international models. The announcement is supposed to create significant interest as the nearby market keeps on filling in competitiveness and buyer interest for midsize sedans. 

The cost of the 8th generation Sonata 2.0L and 2.5L in Pakistan is Rs. 9,979,000 and Rs. 11,205,000, respectively.
