A dedicated green lane for motorcyclists has been released in Rawalpindi, following a successful initiative in Lahore. The number one aim is to ensure more secure, greater organized travel for motorcyclists who regularly face challenges on crowded roads.

In announcing the new measure, Rawalpindi’s city site visitors Police issued an advisory urging motorcyclists to refrain from common lane changes and risky overtaking.

Chief traffic Officer Rawalpindi, Benish Fatima, highlighted the green lane’s role in lowering accidents and streamlining traffic go with the flow. She emphasized that giving motorcyclists their own designated space fosters safer surroundings for all road users.

Fatima also underscored the significance of obeying traffic regulations and actively the use of the green lane. She explained that these steps are important to the success of the program and the overall well-being of those on the road.

This initiative underscores the authorities’ determination to enhance road safety in Rawalpindi and build a greater efficient transportation system for each person.

Motorcyclists in Rawalpindi have expressed their satisfaction with the newly delivered lane, but a few citizens have raised concerns about the service street or link street along the music from Gulzar-e-Quaid to the Flying Club, as cars passing via this place can disrupt the easy flow of site visitors and increase the risk of accidents.

Residents have urged the authorities to address this issue as well.

The Punjab government’s initiative to create the green Biker Lane by removing encroachments and focusing on residents’ convenience is praiseworthy, but the government needs to address any flaws in the pilot project in the next phase to ensure the safety and well-being of the people of Punjab, they add.
