In a promising development for Pakistani healthcare professionals, Malaysia has opened its doors to hire qualified female nurses from Pakistan through the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC)—an attached department of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD). 

As per an official source from OEC, the recruitment drive is focused on fulfilling Malaysia’s demand for experienced nursing staff in various specialized units, including 

  • Coronary Care 
  • ICU 
  • Pediatric ICU 
  • Neonatal ICU 
  • Cardiac Units 
  • Medical/Surgical wards

Candidates must hold a Diploma in General Nursing along with a specialized Post-Basic qualification, and possess a minimum of five years of ICU (Cardiac) experience. The upper age limit for applicants is set at 45 years. Only female candidates are eligible under this recruitment initiative.

The selection will be conducted through formal interviews, and applicants are advised to arrive well-prepared with a comprehensive list of documents. These include: 

• An updated resume with color photographs (must use a Gmail address) 

• Certified copies of General Education Certificates 

• Diplomas and nursing degrees 

• Registration certificates from local or international Nursing Councils 

• Certified academic transcripts 

• A current practicing license 

• Birth certificate and marriage certificate (if applicable) 

• International passport (if available) 

• Testimonials from recent employers (if available) 

• Recent passport-size photos (five copies) 

• Last three months’ payslips (if applicable) 

Applicants are also required to submit a bank challan of Rs. 500, generated during the online application submission process. The deadline for submission of applications is April 11, 2025.
