Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL) has achieved a significant milestone by emerging as Pakistan’s third-largest cement manufacturer following the successful commissioning of its new 2.1 million ton Greenfield Cement Manufacturing Plant in Dera Ghazi Khan. The plant, operational as of today, boasts a production capacity of 6,500 tons per day of clinker at Shadan Lund, District Dera Ghazi Khan.

This development elevates FCCL’s total cement production capacity to 10.6 million tons per annum, solidifying its position as a major player in the industry. Remarkably, the Greenfield Project was completed within a record time of 13 months.

The project incorporates state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, emissions control features, and a Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant. Beyond its contributions to the cement industry, the establishment of this Greenfield Cement Plant in Shadan Lund is expected to uplift the local community economically, aligning with FCCL’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Even before the plant’s commissioning, FCCL had initiated CSR projects, including provisions for clean drinking water, healthcare, solar systems for communities without electricity, and support for school-going children. FCCL, which commenced operations in 1993, has solidified its presence in the market through manufacturing and selling various types of cement.
