Provincial Ministry for Agriculture and Livestock, Syed Ashiq Hussain claimed a few days ago that the Punjab Government has signed to distribute a huge sum of Rs 30 billion for the Chief Minister of Punjab Green Tractor Scheme.
Presiding over a meeting with the representatives of the tractor industry. At Agriculture House, the Minister claimed previously, farmers were not given such a huge subsidy in tractors. Under the scheme, the owners of 1 to 50 acres of agricultural land are being given tractors of 50 to 85 horsepower as per their choice at a subsidy of Rs 10 lakh per tractor.
He claimed that the Chief Minister wanted the local manufacturing industry of tractors must display generosity and deliver a discount of 10 to 15% per tractor to the farmers. This initiative is anticipated to enhance agriculture and the tractor manufacturing industry and the confidence of the local farmers in the tractor industry would likely increase, he claimed.
The Provincial Minister claimed that the whole system up to the delivery of tractors to the farmers is anticipated to be mechanized as per the vision of the Chief Minister scheme is being initiated on a larger level.

In connection with the purchase of the tractor, the farmer is anticipated to provide the option to purchase a tractor of their choice. The Minister claimed and made it authentic to the representatives of the tractor industry that SOPs of the Agriculture Department must be put in mind while creating the green tractor. Secretary of Agriculture of Punjab, Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, claimed that not only the farmers but also the tractor industry would about to get benefit from this scheme. He claimed that the supply of tractors, and the receipt of applications and drafts is considered to be held transparently.
Chief Executive Officer, of Millat Tractor, Raheel Asghar, claimed that the local industry lauds the Chief Minister of Punjab Green Tractor scheme, and the entire industry is anticipated to deliver support and cooperation to the scheme locally.
Delivery free and warranty period of green tractors is anticipated to extend from one year, even in case of a hike in sales tax by the federal government, the fixed price of green tractors will not be hiked up. The meeting was attended by the CEOs and the representatives of Al-Ghazali Tractor, Barak, Orient, and Pak Tractors, and the Director of General Agricultural Extension, Chaudhry Abdul Hameed.
