Among others, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary is a highly respected Pakistani scientist known for his impressive contributions to organic chemistry and natural product research. Serving as the Director of ICCBS, Dr. Chaudhary has expanded scientific research and education in Pakistan and authored over 1,200 research papers on medicinal plants, natural products, and bioactive compound synthesis, many of which hold pharmaceutical and therapeutic promise. 

The Government of Pakistan has recognized Dr. Chaudhary’s work with awards such as the Hilal-i-Imtiaz and Sitara-i-Imtiaz, alongside international accolades from scientific societies. His dedication to research has inspired scientists in the region, fostering strong collaborations between Pakistani and international research communities.

In a gesture of respect, Hunan University of Medicine in China recently named a newly inaugurated research building after Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary. This tribute highlights his services to the global scientific community and his efforts to advance collaboration between Pakistan and China.

The 13,000-square-foot facility, equipped with modern labs and technology, houses 17 full-time researchers focused on scientific and technological innovations and strengthening cross-border collaboration. A Historic Milestone for Pakistan-China Scientific Collaboration 

Naming the research building after Dr. Chaudhary marks a historic achievement in Pakistan-China relations. It is the first time a Pakistani scientist has been honored in this way at Hunan University.
