The Chery Arrizo 5 GT made its debut in China as a rival to sporty small sedans like the Honda Civic. Its new styling initially comes off as eccentric and overbearing.
A few images of the Arrizo 5 GT, which resembles a Lexus IS quite a bit, were recently published by Car News China. The front end features a large “Spindle Grille” that can be found on all current Lexus cars, a short, smooth snout, and a sharp front bumper.
A typical sedan’s side profile can be seen. It sports a few creases, a medium wheelbase, and dark multi-spoke alloy rims that resemble Honda Civic Si. With its aggressive bumper diffuser, four exhaust pipes, and angular taillight design, the Arrizo 5 GT’s rear end also borrows styling influences from Lexus.
The interior is similar to other high-end modern automobiles, with a tidy dash and two sizable screens for the infotainment system and the driver’s display.
A turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with a 7-speed DCT automated transmission will power the car, which is a sportier version of the standard Arrizo 5. It will produce 197 horsepower and 290 Newton-meters of torque for the front wheels. The Arrizo 5 GT has a 0-100 km/h time of less than 6 seconds thanks to this power.
Moreover, it boasts a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that uses a CVT automatic transmission to deliver 154 horsepower and 230 Newton-meters of torque to the front wheels.
But, despite its sportiness, the Arrizo 5 GT is surprisingly affordable. The cost of the vehicle varies between Rs. 3.4 million and Rs. 4.2 million. The Arrizo 5 GT appears to be a genuine rival to the Honda Civic RS, MG GT, and other comparable vehicles based on its performance, appearance, and stature.
