The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has begun development efforts in the E-12 sector.
Chairman of?CDA Noor ul Amin Mengal published the widely anticipated report on Twitter, emphasising the authority’s determination to quickly transform the region into a well-planned and vibrant neighbourhood.
With the start of development work, the CDA hopes to address long-standing plot owner demands while also fulfilling its pledge to deliver vital infrastructure and facilities in E-12.
The sector, which has enormous potential for residential as well as?commercial ventures, has drawn the interest of both plot owners and investors who are impatiently anticipating advancement.
CDA chief emphasised the importance of timely execution by announcing that a hard deadline of 6 months has been imposed for the completion of sector development operations.
The CDA’s determination to speed the process ensures that plot owners and potential stakeholders are able to enjoy the benefits of a well-developed and functional region as soon as feasible.
Besides, the authority has approved the employment of Engineering Consultancy Services Punjab (ECSP) to build a 3.4-kilometre road segment connecting Margalla Avenue to the Motorway (M-1).
The project includes constructing a 1.6-kilometre stretch of road in Islamabad. ECSP will develop the comprehensive design, estimation, EIA, and bidding documents, as well as manage the construction.
ECSP was the only company to make a financial bid for the entire route, despite the CDA’s previous request for bids from solely state-owned firms.
The CDA, however, later chose to hire them exclusively for the Islamabad area. The cost of the 1.6-kilometre patch has been approved by the CDA board at Rs78.75 million.
Moreover, the project seeks to connect Margalla Avenue to the M-1 motorway, enabling commuters travelling between Islamabad and GT Road with an alternate route.
