Careem Launches Pakistan’s First Women-Only Bike Service

The new service intends to provide women with trustworthy transportation because they frequently have difficulties while travelling alone. Moreover, it gives women in society more possibilities for flexible income generation and helps them become financially stable as Captains.

Careem promises a monthly salary of Rs 30,000 for the part-time (5 hours) and Rs 50,000 for the full-time (10 hours) versions of the service. Female Motorcycle Captains will also not be required to pay Careem any commission, get incentives, and have first priority access to the platform’s safety and security helpline.

The new programme coincides with Careem’s ongoing effort to reward all of its female Captains across all car kinds with additional benefits, making it even more profitable for them to work on the platform.

Imran Saleem, General Manager – Ride Hailing at Careem Pakistan, commented on the new service, saying, “Women are a vital part of our society and make up a sizable portion of our entire customer base. Women-driven motorbikes provided by Careem will enable our female clients to break down barriers by providing them with access to dependable, cheap, and safe transportation. This accessible transportation is especially required now, when the economy is so difficult that it is difficult for families to manage their homes on one income”.

In keeping with Careem’s continuous commitment to empowering women in Pakistan, the new service. The organisation enables women to reclaim public places and take charge of their own destinies by providing female drivers with the skills and tools they need to succeed.

Presently, Careem has more than 1,700 female Captains operating various car kinds for passengers. Careem wants to increase the number of women it serves in Pakistan and support their economic empowerment with the introduction of the new motorcycle service.
