The Balochistan administration has decided to construct seven tourism resorts along the province’s coastline.
This decision was made during a meeting of the Balochistan Coastal Development Authority’s governing board, which was led by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo via video link.
Members of the governing board and other officials attended the meeting. The meeting voted to create, administer, and operate resorts in seven coastal regions in collaboration with the public and private sectors.
Addressing the meeting, CM Bizenjo stated that the BCDA is an active institution in coastal development and that the agency hopes to play a part in the development of the coastline.
Our job is to make decisions, and we want to make every decision that leads to the province’s prosperity and progress, he continued.
The meeting also examined the Ministry of Petroleum’s progress in providing petrol stations and other necessary facilities in 11 locations for the convenience of residents living along the coast.
It is worth mentioning that the Balochistan Coastline Development Authority (BCDA) is currently focusing on the master plan for the province’s coastal line in order to examine the future viability of economic development and the preservation of natural habitats.
Given the province’s wealth of tourist sites along the 750-kilometre coastal belt, officials in the Balochistan administration stated that the government was making substantial efforts to construct the coastal belt’s master plan.
In this regard, construction work on eco-tourism resorts, floating jetties, beach parks, and rest stops were underway to accommodate the demands of domestic and international visitors visiting Balochistan’s coastal line, according to sources.
Furthermore, with 90% of the development work completed, the construction of tourist resorts in Gadani, Ormara, Kund Malir, Jiwani, Kalmat, and Gwadar was nearing completion.
Sources added that the government intends to improve its coastal districts in order to make it simpler for visitors and travellers to contribute to the blue economy.
