Ayesha Gul Is Now The First Female Officer Appointed In Kp Police’s Investigation Wing

For the very first time in the history of northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, a woman police officer has been hired into the investigation department. 


Ayesha Gul, who served in the capital law enforcement agency previously, has been promoted to the rank of superintendent of police earlier in January and was positioned as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) KP police. 


The decorated officer of the Police Services of Pakistan has now taken charge as SP Investigation Peshawar. 

Talking to the media, Ayesha said her new role is challenging, however, she was confident in fulfilling the given tasks.


She associated investigation as the cornerstone of the police department, stating criminal investigation with the right approach will help?prevention of crimes and will also provide social reform in society. 


The notable officer further stated that well-functioning law enforcement is critical amid rising crime rates in bigger cities. 


Moreover, Ayesha has also served as Assistant Inspector General of Gender Equality, and she worked for the protection of the rights of women, transgender persons, and children. 


Earlier this year,?Resident of Swabi, Ayesha Gul became the first woman in the provincial police force to become assistant inspector general (AIG). 


The police officer said that as AIG Gender Equality, she would work towards the protection of the rights of women, transgender persons, and children.?She was?posted in Peshawar and had assumed command of her new position. 


In January this year, Ayesha, who was then serving in the Islamabad Traffic Police, had been honored for her performance. She was also promoted to the rank of superintendent of police. 


In a similar development, Dilshad Pari has become the first female Station House Officer (SHO) of Shaghoor Police Station of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Chitral district. After being appointed as SHO, Dilshad Pari first inspected the situation lock-ups, security checkpoints of her police station, and pending police cases.
