Angelina Jolie, a Hollywood actress?and UNHCR Ambassador, visited Pakistan last week to demonstrate support and sympathy for flood victims. The?actor earlier said that the nations who have contributed the least to climate change are experiencing its most severe effects in a media interview. She told the journalists at a press conference, “I have traveled to Pakistan many times, and I have never seen anything like this.

Jolie has now posted on social media about her trip to the parts of the countries?affected by the floods. She posted some images from her trip to Pakistan along with an emotional caption. The actor wrote, “Last week, I travelled in Pakistan with the local organizations to observe the destruction caused by extreme flooding that submerged 1/3 of the country’s territory.

In addition, Pakistan continues to house more than a million Afghan refugees who are unable to return to their country securely given the current circumstances. “33 million people are affected, and over 6 million need essential humanitarian aid,” the actor continued.

The level of trauma and compound trauma is extreme, Jolie continued, “Those I was able to reach were still in shock from having fled the Taliban and now that they know the country they have fled to is in an emergency. Please learn and follow what is happening. Be aware of the climate catastrophe that we are seeing more frequently.

Push governments to recognize that unfair trade, rising emissions, and inability to resolve conflicts are leading to additional pain and death for millions of families around the world, she said in her conclusion.

She earlier stated, “I’ve traveled to Pakistan many times, and I’ve never seen anything like this. We speak about assistance appeals, relief, and support, but this is something very, very different, she continued. “I am definitely with you in urging the world community to do more,” she said.

The actor claimed that the devastation caused by the floods in Pakistan should serve as a wake-up call for everyone. She cautioned that “Climate change is not only real; it is also here to stay.” “Even as someone who has worked in humanitarian relief for a long time, we consider crises in terms of how to resolve them and what can be done to aid in reconstruction or assist the children.

Now that the requirements are so enormous, every effort genuinely means the difference between life and death for so many individuals.

The terrible floods, according to Jolie, have caused so many children to become hungry. “Even if they make it next few months with the winter coming and the damage of the crops and the hard realities… Since I am not experiencing this firsthand, I don’t think it’s fair to state that I am overwhelmed, so I just attempt to ask for assistance. What it feels like there is beyond my ability to even imagine.

According to Jolie, she is visiting?Pakistan as a?friend. She continued, “I will return and keep returning, and right now, my heart is very, very much with the people. She pleaded on the international community to offer more aid to Pakistan’s flood victims. “I keep thinking that they won’t make it if more support is not given promptly.”
