First Albaik branches in major cities of Pakistan to open soon

Saudi Arabia’s iconic fast-food chain, AlBaik, is officially making its way to Pakistan, marking an exciting milestone for fast-food lovers in the country. The agreement for AlBaik’s coming is now in its completion phase, and food lovers are expected for its grand launch soon. 

AlBaik’s owner, Rami Abu Ghazala, and Pakistan’s Commerce Minister, Jam Kamal Khan, has started discussing the operational framework and potential locations for AlBaik branches across major Pakistani cities, they discussed all this in a meeting held in Jeddah. Kamal who is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, is actively interacting with key Saudi business leaders to enhance economic collaboration between the two nations. 

AlBaik’s arrival in Pakistan is just one aspect of a broader economic engagement between the two countries. Minister Jam Kamal Khan depicted Pakistan’s improving business environment, facilitated by initiatives such as the Single Window system and the National Compliance Center, to streamline business operations and captivate more foreign investment. 

Saudi investors have shown massive interest in various sectors of pk. Some of those sectors are energy, agriculture, IT, and construction sectors. Both sides have agreed to work together to strengthen bilateral economic relations. In recent years, Saudi exports to Pakistan increased by 21.9 percent, bringing the total trade volume between the two countries to $700 million. 

In addition to trade, remittances from Pakistani workers in Saudi Arabia remain a crucial financial link. In 2024 alone, remittances from Pakistani expatriates in the Kingdom amounted to $7.4 billion, underscoring the strong economic ties between the two nations. 

The Saudi government’s recent visa policy, allowing GCC citizens visa-free entry for up to 90 days, is expected to further facilitate economic exchanges and tourism. This move is expected to benefit business travelers and investors, paving the way for stronger commercial relations. 

Kamal Khan emphasized that Pakistan is paving forward roads for a highly conducive business environment with ample opportunities for foreign investors. With AlBaik set to launch soon, Pakistani food lovers can look forward to enjoying the much-loved Saudi brand’s crispy chicken and seafood delights right at home.
