Indus River System Authority (IRSA) released 150,100 cusecs water on Tuesday from different rim stations with an inflow of 112,700 cusecs.
According to the latest data released by the authority, the level of water in River Indus at Tarbela Dam was 1546.16 feet and 148.26 feet more than its dead level of 1,398 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 61,600 cusecs while outflow was 85,000 cusecs.
The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla Dam was recorded as 1187.65 feet, which was 137.65 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet, the data said, adding, the inflow and outflow of water were recorded 12,000 cusecs and 26,000 cusecs respectively.
Meanwhile, the release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur was recorded as 80,000, 60,900, 48,600 and 35,600 cusecs respectively. Likewise, from the Kabul River, a total of 18,400 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 4,000 cusecs were released from River Chenab at Marala.
?Earlier last month, IRSA released 271,100 cusecs water from various rim stations having an inflow of 284,000 cusecs.
Officials from IRSA said that Tarbela Dam had already reached to its maximum capacity level of 1550 feet and was 152 feet higher than its dead level of 1,398 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 165,400 cusecs and outflow was 164,600 cusecs respectively.
In River Jhelum at Mangla Dam, the water level was 1191.80 feet, which was 141.80 feet higher than its dead level of 1,050 feet. The inflow and outflow of water were noted as 27,100 cusecs and 15,000 cusecs respectively.
According to irrigation authorities, the water level in the Indus River has crossed over six lac cusecs at Kotri Barrage. The water level in the Indus River is receding at Guddu and Sukkur barrages in upper Sindh. The Indus River is submerged due to a high flood at Kotri Barrage with water inflow increased to 6,08,147 cusecs and outflow the downstream has been recorded as 5,84,272 cusecs.
