Digital car parking system to be introduced for Islamabad’s all big parks

Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the introduction of digital parking in all major parks of Islamabad.

CDA Chairman Randhawa, has recently declared to commence a series of transformative initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, resource management, and public services in the capital city.   

Chairman Muhammad Ali in the meeting has given instructions about the launch of a digital parking system in Islamabad’s major parks to improve its management. The major objective of taking this initiative is to streamline parking management and improve revenue collection, ensuring that the funds generated are reinvested in the development and maintenance of the city’s parks. By integrating technology, the CDA claims the provision of a smoother, more efficient experience for visitors while improving the overall infrastructure of these public spaces.   

CDA’s commitment to improve healthcare standards 

The meeting also addressed operational improvements for Capital Hospital, a key healthcare facility in Islamabad. Chairman Randhawa emphasized reducing local medicine purchases to ensure cost efficiency and directed the appointment of a Director of Finance to enhance financial oversight. He further instructed the preparation of a detailed plan to make the hospital financially sustainable, reflecting the CDA’s commitment to elevating healthcare standards.

For the Directorate of Health Services, key reforms included the reopening of non-functional medical centers and the appointment of additional medical officers to bolster healthcare access across the city. A noteworthy decision was the proposal to mandate medical screenings and vaccinations for workers in barber shops, food outlets, and similar businesses. These health measures would become a requirement for business licensing, prioritizing public safety and hygiene.   

The Enforcement Wing was also a focus of the meeting, with proposals to empower inspectors to impose fines on the spot and implement an online fine collection system. This digital approach aims to enhance transparency, reduce corruption, and increase efficiency in enforcement operations.   

Speaking about the broader objectives of these reforms, Chairman Randhawa highlighted the importance of operational transparency and resource optimization to improve the quality of life for Islamabad’s residents. He noted that these steps are part of a larger vision to modernize the city’s administrative processes while ensuring accountability and public satisfaction.   

These initiatives collectively represent a significant step forward in transforming Islamabad’s public services, promising a more efficient and citizen-friendly environment in the capital. Through digital innovation and thoughtful planning, the CDA is paving the way for sustainable development and improved quality of life for the city’s residents.
